The difference between a gasoline engine and a diesel engine
It is mainly a different igniting way, a compression ignition, a cremated plug.
Gasoline engine is used as fuel, diesel engine is diesel fuel. However, in addition to the different fuels, there are the following differences:
1. gasoline engine is ignited, the fuel in the cylinder by electric spark ignition; while the diesel engine is a compression ignition, fuel on heat generation of compressed air in the cylinder is ignited, the compressed air will increase the temperature, when the temperature of the compressed air is higher than that of diesel ignition when the diesel engine will burn.
2. gasoline engine cylinder compression is relatively low, usually below 10, and diesel engine cylinder compression is relatively high, generally more than 14.
3. gasoline engine has small vibration and high speed. It is suitable for cars and light vehicles. The diesel engine has great power and good economic performance. It is suitable for trucks and large buses. As diesel fuel is cheaper than gasoline, and the power of diesel is strong, more and more vehicles use diesel engines at present, and diesel cars appear.
The 4. cars, buses and other gasoline vehicles often traveling in the city, due to road congestion in the stop and go, the engine is often idle, low temperature, even under normal operating conditions of the gasoline engine temperature and pressure are lower than diesel, so the gasoline engine operating conditions,
The engine oil is easy to produce low temperature sludge, so the requirements of gasoline engine oil with low temperature sludge good dispersion; and diesel vehicles often on the road, the vehicle runs for a long time, the engine temperature and pressure are higher, more soot and carbon deposition in the cylinder with oil easily oxidized to produce pectin, so with diesel engine oil good high temperature detergency.
